One brand, which has entered the apparel space and aims to fulfill customers’ needs in a sustainable yet stylish manner, is Glitch Anomaly.

Kwame Chambers and Emmanuel Addae established Glitch Anomaly in 2012. Both of them were university students at the time, who found it hard to find unique, vibrant exclusive garments on the high street because all stores were uniform in what they offer to the public (copycat trends and bad quality). Their idea was to create a lifestyle UK brand that proffers exclusivity, predominately focusing on menswear and unisex in some lines. The brand proposed to provide good quality and classic design silhouettes, with a focus on sustainability. Chambers and Addae set out to research other brands by working in retail, studying the industry, building a core customer base through social media offering limited drops of products. Today, the brand has recently launched its website, looking to grow and become a ubiquitous UK heritage brand.

According to Chambers and Addae, one of the successes is that it survived in a competitive industry, where most new brands don’t survive past one year. Secondly, the brand can fulfill customers’ needs at the same standard all the time. ‘We have worked closely with universities in our home city Nottingham. We also provide internships and experience for university students, including upcoming young designers.’ — Kwame and Emmanuel.

The founders of Glitch Anomaly want Forbes to perceive the brand as a serious fashion brand on the rise that cares about quality and execution. They say that it is an innovative brand that is here to set trends.

Kwame and Emmanuel believe that the brand is in the top 1%, considering the survival rate instead of market share. The founders state that they have done justice to Glitch Anomaly with the limited funds they had to work.

Valuable advice by the owners of Glitch Anomaly

Chambers says that the first task that an entrepreneur must do is to decide whether he wants to sell clothes or build a brand. It will determine their ultimate goal and will help to formulate their strategy. He mentions that selling clothes is a short-term venture. However, building a brand takes time.

The owners state that the purpose of Glitch Anomaly is to provide value to the customers sustainably and fairly. They want to establish Glitch Anomaly as a trusted brand that fathers pass down to sons.
